Overview

Formera does not require an account. Your brand profiles, customer details, document contents and generated PDFs are not sent to Formera’s activity service.

App activity information

When Formera launches, it sends a heartbeat used to measure active installations and maintain service operations. This record includes:

• A randomly generated device identifier.
• The Formera version and build number.
• Your preferred language, time zone and region.
• The device model and operating system version.
• The time the app was launched.

The device identifier is stored in the system Keychain so it can remain consistent after reinstalling the app and may synchronize through iCloud Keychain when enabled. It is not your name, email address, advertising identifier or document content.

Purchases and entitlement verification

Payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. Formera does not receive your full payment card details. To verify and restore Formera Lifetime access, the app sends its random device identifier, bundle identifier, App Store transaction identifier and transaction environment to Formera’s purchase service. The service stores purchase status and uses it to return your current entitlement. Apple may also send purchase, refund or revocation updates to the purchase service.

Your document contents, customer information, brand details and generated PDFs are not included in purchase verification requests.

Information stored by the app

Formera stores the information needed to create and reopen your work, including:

• Brand names, contact details, logos and reusable document preferences.
• Customer names, contact details and addresses you enter.
• Document names, line items, amounts, dates, payment instructions, notes and terms.
• Generated document history, including a saved document snapshot and its PDF.

This information is stored locally by the app. It may also be included in device backups managed through your Apple settings.

Photos and brand logos

Formera accesses an image only when you deliberately select it through the system photo picker. The selected image can be cropped and saved as part of a brand profile. Formera does not browse or upload the rest of your photo library.

PDF generation and sharing

PDFs are created from the information you provide. Formera shares a PDF only after you choose a sharing action. The app or service you select from the system share sheet will handle the file under its own privacy practices.

Analytics, advertising and tracking

Formera uses the launch heartbeat described above for first-party activity statistics. The current version does not include third-party advertising, cross-app tracking or third-party analytics. If this changes, this policy and any required App Store privacy disclosures will be updated before the new handling applies.

Data retention and deletion

Your brand and document data remains available until you delete it in the app or remove Formera and its data from your device. Deleting a brand does not rewrite previously generated documents, which retain the brand snapshot saved when they were created. Copies you exported to Files or shared with another app must be deleted from those locations separately.

Heartbeat records, device metadata and purchase verification records are retained as needed for activity statistics, entitlement restoration, fraud prevention and service administration. To ask about deletion of a heartbeat identifier or purchase-service data, contact support. Removing the app may not remove an identifier stored by the system Keychain or transaction records that must be retained for purchase administration.

Children’s privacy

Formera is a business document tool and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through a Formera account or service.

Security

We work to keep Formera focused and minimize unnecessary data handling. No storage method can be guaranteed completely secure, so protect your device and review documents before sharing sensitive information.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Formera changes or legal requirements evolve. The latest version will appear on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
